Which Season Was Quicker 8 or 9?

Which season do you think was quicker Season 8 or Season 9?
My opinion is Season 8 but still it's sort of a tie. Season 8 was quicker for me because I didn't watch American Idol as much as now. Also in Season 8 I didn't really have a favorite from the very beginning, as in Season 9 I liked Katie Stevens all the way from the time of her audition in Boston, which was her first American Idol Audition. It's easier just to watch not having a favorite. But at the finale I always have a favorite. Season 7- David Archuleta
Season 8- Kris Allen
Season 9- Lee DeWyze
Only one season the persone who I wanted from the finale won but i'm still waiting on the results of the Crystal+Lee Finale.
